The use of technology in the classroom in the era we live in is a necessity.  Students find technology exciting and engaging.  Teachers can use technology in the classroom such as tablets like the teachers in the video below are doing to teach phonics.

Technology and teaching goes hand in hand.  There are many opportunities for technology use.  During lecture time teachers can use presentations on the computer or projectors.  Teachers can create classroom blogs or websites.  They can use the internet in the classroom for center time.  This could include the use of websites such as Ticket to Read and V-Math that engage the students both visually and audibly.
